Program and Timing

DAY J-1: ANTANANARIVO

Reception at the airport of Ivato Antananarivo, transfer and Installation at the hotel.

Drive to  the center of the Malagasy Capital.

 Night in SAKAMANGA Hotel

DAY J-2 : ANTANANARIVO – ANTSIRABE (171km)

Morning departure to the south on the RN7. The high Mountain is rich in landscapes, many earthen works of Rice field, beautiful villages are home to bricks, many bricks for making bricks along the river, many women who wash clothes and dry on the prairie forming beautiful multi-colored colors. there are also many handicraft sellers, fruit and vegetables. Arrival in Antsirabe.

 

– We will visit the miniatures of cars, motorcycles and bicycles, Horn zebu workshop and then we will visit the city on board rickshaw. Lunch at a restaurant in the City.

: ANTSIRABE – MIANDRIVAZO (270 km)

Departure after lunch to sail on RN 34, the road is paved and beautiful, we Mount and down the hills, the landscape is very beautiful with lots of vegetation and many cultures up to about half the way.

It is necessary to reach 6 hours by car to reach Miandrivazo

DAY J-3 :  :    MIANDRIVAZO – MASIAKAMPY

                                  DESCENT OF TSIRIBIHINA RIVER

Miandrivazo-Masiakampy

Transfer to the pier of Masiakampy about 30 km from the starting point, Miandrivazo. Installation on the barge (flat bottom boat) and for the descent of the Tsiribihina river. Lunch on the boat. You will discover extremely rich fauna and flora in an almost wild state. During the descent, you will observe rare and endemic plants of Madagascar (pachypodiums, aloes, kalanchoes, baobabs, etc.) as well as several species of birds, lemurs and crocodiles.

Discovering the life of local residents on the way down is another attraction of this foray on the Tsiribihina River. Stop in Nosy Ampela for the night. Dinner on the boat.

NIGHT IN CAMPING

DAY J-4:   DESCENT OF TSIRIBIHINA RIVER

Nosy Ampela-Ambatomainty(2 nd Day of Descent )

After breakfast,

but above all, visit and meet the local people in a beautiful Village. You will also visit the schools and especially see the children in their classrooms.

The descent of the Tsiribihina continues. During the day, stop for a short walk to a huge waterfall and climb through the forest to join the Waterfalland the natural pool, where swimming is of course possible. Get back on the boat and continue sailing through the basalt cliffs. Many species of birds are visible from the boat: teals, herons, kingfishers, humpback ducks, fruit bats and even crocodiles. Lunch on the boat. Visit of the village of Berevo. In the evening, you have the opportunity to see village entertainment with Sakalava and Cabosses songs. Dinner on the boat.

NIGHT IN CAMPING

DAY J-5:  END OF  TSIRIBIHINA RIVER

Ambatomainty-Belo-sur-Tsiribihina(3 th Day of Descent)

 Breakfast before continuing the cruise. At the end of the morning, facing a softer relief, the course of the river widens and gets lost in its bed of sand. The river activity comes to life and announces the imminent arrival in Belo-sur-Tsiribihina (landing place and where the car awaits us). Meal in a restaurant in the city.

 

                           – Belo-sur-Tsiribihina –BEKOPAKA ( 115 km)

From 7:30 in the morning Departure to BEKOPAKA where is the TSINGY OF BEMARAHA NATIONAL PARK (distance 115 km and drive during 3h ).

And all along the way you ride on a magnificent RED SANDS TRACKS surround the forest of Baobabs and Thorny forests like Cactus, Aloe ……through several small villages.

Arrival on the Manambolo River pass the car by a Ferries  (During ferry 10mn)

Night  ORCHIDÉE DU BEMARAHA

DAY J-6: BEMARAHA  PARK

At 7:00 am, Boarding with a traditional Pirogue( Canoe) to visit the GORGE of  MANAMBOLO River with the CAVE of BATS.

During the visit and the navigation you’ll see many species of Birds, Butterfly, the Tomb of the Sakalava ancestral      

 

 Departure from the River  at 8:00 to the entrance of the Park (distance 15 km and 30 minutes drive).

Beginning of the BEMARAHA NATIONAL PARK, starting first with the Forest and GREAT TSINGY and ending with the Cave.

 (Visit for 6 to 8 hours of time depends on the Guests).

Visiting the Park you will also enjoy climbing on the Tsingy by doing some Climbing but you will be well equipped with the entrance of the Park.

We’ll pass and across the two SUSPENSION BRIDGE.

In the afternoon, swim in the swimming pool of the hotel.

DAY J-7: BEKOPAKA – KIRINDY FOREST ( 185km) 

From 7:00 am Departure to KIRINDY FOREST

By passing the car twice on the Barge to cross the two rivers (Manambolo and Tsiribihina).

And all along the way you ride on a magnificent red sand trail surrounded by forests of Baobabs and thorny forests like Cactus, Aloe …….

Lunch in the town of Tsiribihina (Drive 6 to 7 hours)

Arrive in hotel installation and after that 10 mn visit to the SACRED BAOBAB

 

At around 6:30 pm, TOUR VISIT NIGHT   or NOCTURNAL VISIT at the Park, allows you to see all the species of

 animals that live only at night.

EX: nocturnal chameleons, mini lemurs, lizards, butterflies, FOSSA

DAY J-8: KIRINDY FOREST-BAOBAB ALLEY- MORONDAVA

From 7:00 am beginning for the visit Kirindy Forest National Park (visit during 4 hours). Different species of animals and plants are there. And there is possibility too to the famous big predator endemic in Madagascar calling FOSA

Lunch in the restaurant of the hotel.

 

             –AVENUES OF  BAOBABS –

At 4:15 pm, start walk and visit to the BAOBABS AVENUES through the Twins Baobabs.

 After wards go to the forests of the Baobabs and to the Baobabs Lovers.

Finally arrive at the way of Baobabs. Walk inside all the largest and the highest Baobabs in the world.

DAY J-9 : MORONDAVA – BELO SUR MER (95KM)

After breakfast, departure for Belo, the landscapes during the course are varied, we find thorny forests, savannas, many baobabs which rise above the vegetation, crossing rivers, but especially the various small villages.

Just after the forests you will cross the Saline de Belo and you will reach Belo-sur-Mer at the end of the morning.

Meal in the hotel restaurant.

In the afternoon, visit the Fishing Village and see how the people of this Village build the Wooden Sailboat (LA BOUTTRE).

The Village Belo is famous for the construction of Bouttre throughout Madagascar.

Night in ECOLODGE DU MENABE

 DAY J-10: BELO SUR MER- MOROMBE (152km)

Very early morning departure from Belo Village at around 5:00 a.m. A long track and journey of about 9 hours long through many truly spectacular baobabs and many villages.

Passing through the City of Manja: Lunch break in a restaurant located in the City.

DAY J-11: MOROMBE- ANDAVADAOKA  ( 69 km)

Departure to reach the destination village of Andavadaoka, passing by several Big Bottles Baobabs

And we reach the destination village of Andavadaoka, just near the sea.

When you arrive at the hotel, all the bungalows are in front of the sea and the beach is of fine white sand.

ANDAVADOAKA: is a small fishing village.

  Here, the sea has incredible colors, striped  green, blue, green, blue and a long beach, white and completely deserted.

DAY J-12: ANDAVADAOKA – AMBATOMILO- SALARY (60 KM)

After breakfast, we continue the road to Salary.

Departure for Mangily / Ifaty around 8:30 am, the track is along the beach and we can stop from time to time to take some photos and see the Villages. Nice route towards the sandy track between the sea on the right and the thorny forest on the left. Arrival in Ifaty.

DAY J-15: IFATY – TULEAR – ANAKAO

Departure from Ifaty to Tulear City ( the very Big Province of Madagascar).Transfer to Anakao Village with a Speed Boat.

At 9:30 am, boarding in a speed boat and transfer  to ANAKAO village  (during navigation 1 hour ). installation in the hotel.

During the day there is a lot of boasting about the show and a traditional canoe and all the fishermen arrive and disembark to sell their fish.

DAY J-16: ANAKAO– EXCURSION On the island of Nosy VE

from 9:00 am departing and boarding with  a traditional and Sailling Pirogue (Canoe) to the island of Nosy VE and through Snorkeling opportunities.

Nosy VE: is a small protects marine reserve of the island of Madagascar and she Host an several and variouse BIRDS. snorkeling and swimming on the water which is blue turquoise color. Peak lunch meals on the Island.

Return to the hotel at 3:30.

Night in PRINCE ANAKAO Hotel

DAY J-17: ANAKAO- TULEAR- RANOHIRA ( 237 KM)

From 6:00 am, boarding the speed boat and transfer directly to the city of Tulear.

-Then departure to the City of Ranohira (distance 237 km and drive 4 hours 30 minutes), passing through the Village of ILAKAKA or the Capital of Precious Stones of Madagascar. Visit of SAPPHIRE Shops in VILLAGE.

Continuing the road you will arrive at the NATIONAL PARK of VOHIBASIA (visit for 3 hours).

           Immediately after visit; departure to the City of Ranohira.

Arriving  at Ranohira, hotel installation and lunch at the restaurant of the hotel.

TREKKING and long visit to the great ISALO NATIONAL PARK

  Grand Loop Circuit and NAMAZA Canyon This is a circuit that goes up various Naturally Pool.

After a trail of difficult trails, we discover a panoramic view of the forest, the waterfall, the blue pool and black pool with possibility to swimming.

The valley is rich in endemic flora and fauna of the South West.

Green forest, river, waterfall Nymphs, birds, butterflies, lizards, some rare lemurs. The black pool is actually an area where water flows from an elevated spring, providing some cool under the overwhelming sun.

DAY J-19: RANOHIRA – AMBALAVAO ( 215 KM)

Departure from Ranohira City to Ambalavao.

  Ambalavao known to host the largest cattle market on the island every Wednesday and Thursday.

You will then pass the Southern Gate and cross the immense Horombe plateau. Here, the arid vegetation landscapes of the south give way to the green landscapes of the Highlands.

but first a little stop to visit of PARK ANJA RESERVE .Visit for 2 hours.

Night in TSIENIMPARIHY LODGE

DAY J-20: AMBALAVAO- RANOMAFANA  ( 148 KM)

Departure after to wards  Ranomafana passing through the capital of the great Province of the

Betsileo Region calling FIANARANTSOA. Along the way of several magnificent landscapes and especially the grape plantations and the Wine production capital of Madagascar.

Visit the RANOMAFANA NATIONAL PARK: it is a national park and the primary forest of Madagascar.

Visit for 4 hours

Immediately after visiting Swim in the natural pool in warm water, because Ranomafana means boiling water.

DAY J-21: RANOMAFANA- ANTSIRABE‑ TANANARIVO ( 389km)

Departure to the City of Antananarivo via the City of Ambositra and Antsirabe.
